  • Scholarship Days

Several academic and special interest programs offer scholarship opportunities. These events are open to current seniors who have been accepted to Emory & Henry College and are by invitation only. Programs include:

Are you passionate about service and social justice? Are you eager to connect your education with building stronger communities? Do you need help paying for College? If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, then the Bonner Scholars Program may be for you! Emory & Henry College agrees to meet 100% of a student’s financial need through the student’s subsidized Stafford loan eligibility, annual Bonner stipend, other scholarships, and grants. Any outside scholarships will be included in the grant portion of a student’s package.

The Healthcare Pre-Professional Scholarship at Emory & Henry College is a renewable, four-year scholarship for incoming first-year students who are preparing themselves for admission to professional programs in healthcare disciplines. These competitive scholarships will be awarded to students who show great promise to become professionals in a healthcare discipline by virtue of their intention to pursue an undergraduate course of study that will lead to admission in a professional (graduate) healthcare program, exemplary high school GPAs, and excellent college aptitude scores. Finalists for these scholarships will participate in on-campus interviews with faculty members and pre-health students.

The benefits of the Healthcare Pre-Professional Scholarships include:

An annual, renewable scholarship, valued up to $3,000; Preferential access to shadowing opportunities with healthcare professionals in their desired fields; Financial assistance toward enrollment in entrance examination preparation programs (e.g., MCAT; GRE). These benefits are in addition to those available to all pre-health students including instruction from award winning science faculty, access to research opportunities with both undergraduate and graduate faculty members, and summer fellowship opportunities to study at research universities.

    Honors College Program

Our program is designed to challenge students to think critically, logically, and creatively so that they can not only do their best work, but also use what they’ve learned to help better the world around them.

Kyle Boden, an Honors Program alumnus and recipient of the NCAA Walter Byars Scholarship, said, “As Honors students, our hope is that research conducted at Emory & Henry will help improve the lives of people around the world.”

The Honors Program at Emory & Henry, which is very competitive, offers an intellectual challenge that is more than just academics. We ask you to read difficult texts and to discuss them and their implications with the very brightest student colleagues in the country. We ask you to devise your own experiments and projects rather than just following the directions someone else provides for you. We ask you to take what you learn in classrooms, laboratories, and midnight discussions and to apply it to the life we live—whether on a community level or on a global scale.

  • Admitted Students Day

Admitted students! Experience Emory & Henry like you are already a student. Sit in on classes, meet current students and faculty, and enjoy local food and campus activities that evening!
