Fall 2024 Semester

Students accepted to Emory & Henry for the Fall Semester can refer to this timeline for guidance in completing the process to become an enrolled student. If you have questions email the admissions office or contact your Admission Counselor. Visit What’s Next page for enrollment steps.

  • December: FAFSA opens for filing (using prior, prior year tax returns if desired) The U.S. Department of Education announced significant changes to the FAFSA filing process. The form is currently available in the soft launch phase with periodic pauses to functionality. We expect an update on FAFSA filing starting February 1. 
  • Submit your enrollment deposit as soon as possible to confirm your enrollment. *Deposit is non-refundable.
  • As soon as possible/Starting February 1: Priority deadline for filing FAFSA
    *First-come, first-served basis. The previous year’s FAFSA application opened in October. This year is delayed. Please file FAFSA as soon as possible starting February 1.
  • March 15: Summer Experience Day registration begins. Choose your summer experience day and provide information about your core interests.
  • May-July: Summer Experience Day for all new incoming students.
  • May 1-15: Enrollment Forms become available for fall. Begin completion of enrollment forms after submitting the enrollment deposit.
  • May 15 (to be determined): Priority deadline for completing FAFSA verification process, if selected *Aid cannot be released until this process is completed.
  • June 15: Student billing is typically available. Estimates are available to enroll in the Tuition Payment Plan as needed.
  • June 1: Enrollment Forms Due
  • July 1: Medical Form is Due
  • July 31: Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant ( VTAG ) deadline.
  • First Day of Classes: Payment in full is due for those choosing not to enroll in a tuition payment plan.
  • New student move-in is planned for August 10, 2024.
  • Orientation programming is planned for August 10-13, 2024. During your Orientation, you will get to know the campus — and your future classmates — over four fun-filled, entertaining, and informative days.
  • Classes begin Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

Spring 2024 Semester

  • File Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant ( VTAG ) for Virginia residents. File VTAG
  • File the FAFSA Title IV Code for E&H: 003709
  • Oct. – Dec.: Priority deadline for completing FAFSA verification process, if selected. Aid cannot be released until this process is completed.
  • November and December: Enroll in the Tuition Payment Plan as needed. Ask for an estimated bill if needed.
  • Dec. 1: Begin the Registration Process for Spring Orientation
  • Dec. 1: Priority deadline for filing FAFSA first-come, first-served basis; certain need-based funds may be unavailable after this date.
  • Dec. 1: Complete enrollment forms.
  • Dec. 10: Final deadline to submit the enrollment deposit—students can also pay deposits after Dec. 10 should space still exist.
  • December 11: Deadline for return of all enrollment forms. Those deposited after this date should return enrollment forms as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition. 
  • Move-in for new students: January 6, 2024
  • January 2-5, 2024: Online orientation for those who choose this option.
  • January 6, 2024. In-person orientation for those who choose this option. 
  • First Day of Classes: Payment in full is due for those choosing not to enroll in a tuition payment plan.
