The Kitchen Closet
The Kitchen Closet is a free resource where E&H students who do not have enough food or the funds to purchase enough food can get a meal, snack or the ingredients to prepare a meal. A wide variety of toiletries are also available. Any student can access the Kitchen Closet.
The Kitchen Closet is located just inside the Van Dyke Center, at the end of the building closest to the football field and the van Vlissingen Center. It is open seven days a week during all hours when Van Dyke is open (7am to 8pm). There is a range of food available including beverages, snacks, fresh fruit, and refrigerated or frozen food and meals which can be reheated. Availability of different items varies.
Everyone accessing the Kitchen Closest must follow all E&H COVID-19 prevention protocols including physical distancing, wearing face coverings and hand washing and sanitizing. Only one student at a time is allowed in the Kitchen Closet. Before leaving, please sanitize all surfaces you touched.
Note: Outside food donations for The Kitchen Closet are not being accepted at this time. Sodexo is providing all of the food. There are currently COVID-19 visitation restrictions for campus. If you would like to contribute to the Kitchen Closet please go to the E&H donation page, select “Other” as your “Designation,” and type in “Kitchen Closet.”
If you would like to make a request for a particular item to be in the food pantry, ask a question, or leave a comment, please complete this form.
