Ready to make a difference?

From service learning components of courses to on-going, long-term community based projects to internships and volunteer work, students participate in building strong communities with various partners locally in the area.

Building Lasting Relationships

Emory & Henry has a close relationship with many local organizations which gives students an opportunity to connect with something they are passionate about.

Among the many community partners E&H students work with, volunteer sites include everything from community gardens and food pantries like Sprouting Hope, Feeding America, and Appalachian Sustainable Development to local chapters of outreach like Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, United Way, and the YWCA.  Other partnerships include Faith in Action, River’s Way Outdoor Adventure Center, Abingdon Health & Rehab, and Abuse Alternative’s.
