Faculty & Staff

All faculty and staff are responsible for complying with the rules, standards, and procedures as outlined in the Return to Campus planning.

Fall semester classes begin on August 16.

Faculty & Staff

With the increased availability of vaccinations and a persistent diligence by all to maintain proper Covid safety protocols, we are now asking our faculty and staff to return (if not already) to their respective on-campus work locations. As employees return to their respective on-campus work locations, we will still adhere to our current Covid safety policies to include facial coverings, social distancing, frequent hand washing, and daily self-checks. Employees who had approved medical accommodations on file through Human Resources, or those seeking to obtain a medical accommodation, will need to complete a new medical accommodation request form.

Face Coverings

All individuals, as outlined in section 2.1 of the Return to Campus, are required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth at all times while indoors on College property and in public. Additionally, face coverings must be worn while inside a College-owned vehicle, whether alone or with others, and while inside a College-hired vehicle and with others. Individuals are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering at all times while off-campus and in public.

Vaccination Update

In accordance with both the CDC’s and Governor Northam’s recent guidance, we are updating our policy and offering an opt-in program for fully vaccinated employees. This opt-in program is intended to give employees who have been fully vaccinated increased flexibility and return to a more normal working environment.

At this time, vaccination is strongly encouraged but not required for employees. If you have already received the COVID-19 vaccination (two doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one dose of Johnson & Johnson), please upload a copy of your vaccination card via this link to Human Resources. The only individual who will see this information is Tracy Peery, Director of Human Resources and our Google suite is HIPAA compliant.

If you are an employee who is fully vaccinated, has communicated this information with Human Resources using the link to upload a copy of your vaccination card, and wish to no longer wear a facial covering at any location across campus, then you may visit Human Resources in the Scarbrough House to obtain your customized lanyard to wear with your college issued ID badge to opt-in to being fully released from the facial covering requirement. Employees located at the Marion or Bristol campuses contact Tracy Peery for arrangements to receive your lanyard. For faculty and staff who have been vaccinated, we are offering a $20 gift certificate to the Emory Mercantile.

Vaccine Leave Time

For employees who have not yet been vaccinated, we are offering 3 hours of paid leave time to facilitate each of your vaccination appointments. To find a vaccination clinic near you, or to learn more about the vaccine, please visit the Vaccines.gov website.

As the Pfizer vaccine has now been approved for children aged 12 - 16, the College would like to assist our working parents with one hour of paid leave time in order to take their dependent children in this age range to a vaccine clinic in our area.

Please reach out with any questions to Tracy Peery, Director of Human Resources tpeery@ehc.edu, or Ryan Bowyer, Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives, rbowyer@ehc.edu.

Thank you for your help to achieve community immunity by keeping yourselves, each other, and our students safe.
