Emory & Henry celebrates Black History Month! Check this page for upcoming events.

Recognized in 1976 by President Gerald R. Ford, Black History Month is celebrated annually in February. The accomplishments and impacts made by African American individuals throughout history are celebrated during Black History Month. The Library of Congress has resources on its Black History Month website.

The Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging brings Black History Month events to the Emory & Henry community such as panels, historical seminars and more. Students should go to the Lyceum calendar for any related events for Lyceum credits.
