Outdoor Activities

Student on the Appalachian Trail. Whether you have participated in a hiking trip before or are just now becoming curious about outdoor recreation, our trips are for Emory & Henry students wanting to explore.

Through outdoor activities, Campus Recreation partners with the Emory & Henry Outdoor Program, Student Activities, and the Regional Programming Specialist. We offer opportunities to meet new people, see new places, and have new and diverse experiences.

  • Our goal for all outdoor recreation experiences is to build group unity through a cooperative effort by appreciating a wilderness adventure and creating friendships. We challenge students and ourselves to break away from the day-to-day routines. You can choose from on-campus activities or off-campus events that take you into the nature of Appalachia.
  • Our trips are led by Emory & Henry professional and student guides, many of whom have acquired extensive wilderness training and enjoy sharing their love and avidity for the outdoors with others.
