Places & Spaces
Kelly Library has many spaces available for individual study, group study, and presentation. If you have questions about library spaces contact the Kelly Library Circulation Desk.
A collaboration area for working with your classmates or individual study is available on the
main floor of the library. The seating includes charging stations. It is also available as a class meeting space; for this purpose faculty should reserve through the Kelly Library circulation desk. Capacity: 46.
Denham Poetry Collection Area
Located on the main floor, this area houses a gift of over 2,000 poetry books donated by former E&H English faculty member Robert Denham. Feel free to browse through these volumes, and enjoy some poetry. This area can also be used for individual or group study, or for small presentations. For small presentations, faculty should reserve through the Kelly Library circulation desk. Capacity: 11.
Emory & Henry Room
Located on the top floor of the library, the Emory & Henry Room can be reserved for meetings or large study groups. It is scheduled through the Kelly Library circulation desk. Capacity: 16-20.
Emory & Henry Alcove
This alcove outside the Emory & Henry Room is available for individual and group study. Capacity: 13-15.
Bishop Hunt Library and Research Room
This room houses the personal library of former E&H president Bishop Earl Gladstone Hunt Jr. It can be reserved for meetings or group study, and is scheduled through the Kelly Library circulation desk. Capacity: 13.
Individual Study Rooms
Small study rooms are located on the top floor of the library. These rooms are available on a first come first served basis. For longer term use, please speak with the Library Director or the Access Services Librarian. Capacity: 1-2.
This group study room includes a television and DVD player. The room is available on a first come first served basis; however, priority is given to small groups needing viewing equipment over study groups. Capacity: 4.
This facility on the ground floor is outfitted with 20 computers, network connections and
projection equipment. This lab is often used for library instruction sessions. Generally, this lab is available only by faculty request. It is scheduled though the IT Help Desk. Capacity: 20.
This is an open lab with 27 workstations.
