Emory & Henry senior Jarod Bracero wants to help others
Jarod Bracero will graduate in May 2020 with a degree in Sociology. After graduation, Bracero plans to further his education by attending graduate school.
“Emory & Henry provided me the experiences necessary to understand and critically think about the world around me, which is especially useful with the current state of the world,” says Bracero. “As for the future, Emory & Henry has given me the skills necessary to adjust and flourish in any work environment while also focusing on the community around me.”
Bracero has been heavily involved on campus, being a member of Beta Lambda Zeta and the swim team. He has also held leadership roles, such as the Student Government president, Greek Council representative, and Intramural official.
Dr. Gaia, Dr. Koch, Dr. Sorenson, and Dr. Krause have all impacted Bracero’s education by being there for him, helping him inside and outside of the classroom, and providing a valuable learning environment. Sam Amos and John Holloway are two staff members that have also meant a lot to his student life experience.
“John Holloway has made sure that every student, especially those who fall into a minority category, flourish at Emory & Henry and I cannot thank him enough,” adds Stewart.
After earning his masters degree, Bracero hopes to have a career that helps others in some way, shape, or form.
“I want to help better the world in any way I can,” says Bracero.
