Tilley Named McGlothlin Center for the Arts Assistant Box Office Coordinator
Tilley is a junior at Emory & Henry College, who is seeking a bachelor of fine arts degree in musical theatre. She is from Lebanon, Va., which is located in Russell County.
Tilley also provides technical assistance for performances put on by the Theatre Department at Emory & Henry. She works under the supervision of Will Hankins, technical director for the McGlothlin Center. At the moment, Tilley helps the theatre department prepare for their upcoming musical, “It’s All Relative.”
Last semester, Tilley was one of the performers in the second round of plays in the “Outbreak: Appalachia in the Time of COVID-19” series produced by the Emory & Henry Theatre Department in collaboration with the Barter Theatre.
Tilley is also participating in the Theatre Department’s next virtual show, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” in which she plays the characters of Starveling and Peaseblossom. While most of these rehearsals are virtual, the Theatre Department is still “alive and well,” according to Dr. Kelly Bremner, chair of the Theatre Department at Emory & Henry.
Tilley says, “I’m so excited to kick off the semester with these productions and work alongside everyone in my casts and other parts of the department.”
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will be released in April.
