Trent Allen to pursue higher education at Bowling Green State University
In May 2021, Trent Allen, from Toms River, N.J., will graduate with a degree in Hispanic Studies with minors in Theatre Arts and Business Management.
“Emory & Henry has given me experiences that allowed me to grow and change as a person,” says Allen. “I was challenged in a multitude of ways through my academics and professionalism which helped me become someone I can be proud of today. E&H gave me the tools I need to succeed and taught me how to use them so I can flourish upon graduating.”
While at Emory & Henry, Allen served as president of Sigma Delta Pi, Ampersand Ambassador, Blue & Gold Ambassador and secretary of Phi Eta Sigma. Allen was also part of Student Government, Gamma Sigma Alpha, Theta Chi Epsilon and Zeta Phi.
“Every single faculty member I had on campus supported me and worked with me when needed,” says Allen. “I signed my first professional theatre contract in Professor Rachael Swartz’s office, Dr. Gonzalo Baptista gave me stories and plays to read in Spanish because he knew I was interested in learning more about it, and the folks in the career center, Ms. Amanda Gardner and Mr. Lee Svete helped me find internships and supported me in my graduate school search and interviews.”
After graduation, Allen will be attending Bowling Green State University to pursue a graduate degree in College Student Personnel.
