Dixiana Holliday to pursue a Master’s of Accountancy
Our Emory & Henry seniors are preparing to graduate and change the world.
Dixiana Holliday, from Asheville, N.C., will graduate from Emory & Henry in May 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
“E&H gave me the invaluable skill of time management,” says Holliday. “Throughout my time at Emory & Henry, I was involved in many organizations while maintaining a strong GPA and social life. I not only learned time management but also developed strong oral and written communication skills that are vital to a well rounded student.”
While at Emory & Henry, Holliday was involved in the Honors Program, Bonner Scholar program, Emory Activities Board and Blue & Gold Society. She was also part of SGA, Residence life, Women’s Student Union, LGBTQ student union, an orientation leader and an Ampersand Ambassador.
“Dr. Denise Stanley has not only been my accounting professor for several classes, my internship advisor, my academic advisor, and my Honors Thesis advisor but also an amazing mentor that has shaped the person I am today both personally and professionally,” says Holliday. “Emory & Henry allows students to form amazing mentorships with professors through the small classes and strong connections that it encourages.”
After graduation, Holliday will pursue a Master’s of Accountancy at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
