Lauren Salyer to continue education at E&H
Our Emory & Henry seniors are preparing to graduate and change the world.
Lauren Salyer, from Kingsport, Tenn., will graduate in May 2021 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Mathematics.
“Emory & Henry has given me tools to enhance my leadership qualities as well as gave me many different ways to network,” says Salyer. “E&H has given me many opportunities to get practice in my field of study to ensure my success.”
While at Emory & Henry, Salyer served as Blue Key National Honor Society President, and was a member of Women’s Basketball team, Kappa Phi Alpha, Greek Council Judicial Board, SGA, Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, National College Athlete Honor Society (Chi Alpha Sigma, Virginia Xi Chapter), and was a Peer Mentor.
“Coach Jaclyn Dickens has been one of my motivators for success while I have been at Emory & Henry,” says Salyer. “She helped E&H feel like home as soon as I stepped on campus. Professor Mark Hainsworth has taught me so many important key concepts to make me a successful teacher. He has also always been there to help me or answer any questions that I might have.”
After graduation, Salyer will complete the Master’s of Education program at Emory & Henry.
