Rice Rander to pursue PhD at University of Southern California
Rice Rander, from Lynchburg, Va., will graduate in May 2021 with a degree in Chemistry and Mathematics. During his time at Emory & Henry, Rander was involved in local Greek Life through Theta Chi Epsilon, and Zeta Phi. He was also a member of the American Chemical Society Chapter and Blue Key Chapter.
“Emory & Henry has given me the connections and skills that will help me throughout my career,” says Rander. “Without the amazing Emory & Henry chemistry faculty, I would be where I am today; they have been incredibly supportive and pushed me to do my best. Dr. Michael Lane helped me get a summer research experience in Scotland over the summer between my sophomore and junior years.”
After graduation, Rander will pursue his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California.
