Emory & Henry School of Business Sponsors Business Challenge Entrepreneur Award of $5K
Beyond the support offered by VHSBI, the award winner is also eligible to send up to three employees to Emory & Henry’s Small Business Growth Program and access the College’s state-of-the-art innovation space in the home of the School of Business - Carriger Hall.

The Business Challenge is a collaborative effort of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, Virginia Community Capital and Virginia Highlands Small Business Incubator. The mission of the challenge is to foster small business development and job opportunities around Washington County.
Past winners of the Emory & Henry Awards were Tumbling Creek Cider Company and Stephen Curd, founder of Lavelle Manufacturing.
The business challenge features six online trainings culminating in business plan presentations. Eligible businesses include Arts and Culture; Outdoor Recreation; Value Added Agriculture/Agritourism; Restaurants, Hospitality & Entertainment; Technology/Advanced Manufacturing/Research and Development; Retail; Support Services; and Light Manufacturing (Less than 25 employees).
The Business Challenge runs from January 18 through February 22, 2022. The deadline for applying is January 11, 2022.
