Sarah Savona to continue education at Stony Brook University
Our Emory & Henry seniors are preparing to graduate and change the world.
Sarah Savona of Rockville, Md. will graduate on May 7, 2022, with bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Chemsitry. Savona was a supplemental instructor and lab assistant and she was involved with Tri-Beta as the Vice President and American Chemical Society as the Treasurer.
Savona will be attending Stony Brook University in New York to pursue further education following her graduation from Emory & Henry College. She will be earning her PhD in Medicinal Inorganic Chemistry from Stony Brook University pursuing a position in the field of toxicology. “I love how collaborative and interdisciplinary the STEM programs are at Emory & Henry,” Savona said. “Classes are designed to make students well-rounded both in the classroom and the lab.”
