E&H Theatre Department Presents ‘Songs for a New World’ Nov. 3-5
A musical that inspires through the stories of pivotal life moments will take the stage this fall in the Kennedy-Reedy Theater of the McGlothlin Center for the Arts at Emory & Henry College.
Songs for a New World, which seeks to transport audiences deeply into the lives of its characters, will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 3-4 and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 5.
Written by Jason Robert Brown, a Broadway favorite, the musical turns on the premise that it only takes a moment to change our lives; we just have to decide to move forward, turn back, or even jump (off of an edge of a building).
The powerful music of the production helps to engage audiences as they weigh the options along with the characters of the story.
