Students Participate in “Shaping Our Future”

E&H students and faculty joined more than 35 colleges and universities to take part in the nation’s largest deliberative democracy event for young people. The virtual event hosted by Stanford University, Berggruen Institute, and Equal Citizens brought 1,500 young people together for democratic deliberation, rather than partisan debate.

Deliberative Polling is a technique developed by Stanford University Professor James Fishkin. The goal is to gauge how various populations will react to political policies when they have been fully informed about them.
