Kaycee Allen to pursue a career in the public school system
Our Emory & Henry seniors are preparing to graduate and change the world.
Kaycee Allen of Jefferson, N.C. will receive a master’s degree in professional studies.
Kaycee will graduate with the class of 2023. In addition to her studies, Allen is a member of Delta Rho Delta, Signa Tau Delta English Honor Society, Appalachian Student Union, NSE Leader, cheerleading, and Housing and Residence Life. “Emory & Henry has given me the opportunity to have diverse learning,” Allen said. “In true liberal art fashion, Emory has designed the curriculum around lessons of the world, rather than lessons for a career. As I enter into the teaching profession, I feel as though I have a unique set of skills because of Emory that I would not have received anywhere else.”
“I anticipate a position in a public school system,” Allen said.
Allen is a first-generation college graduate. She received a bachelor’s degree in English secondary education at Emory & Henry College.
