E&H Alumni/Student Win Award for Service

Congrats to Jacob Caudill (Class of ’18), Walker Long (Class of ’18) and Sam Caudill (current E&H student).

Jacob Caudill, Sam Caudill, and Walker Long have been honored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service for their volunteer service at Sugar Hollow Park in Bristol, Virginia. 

They worked specifically with the park’s Great Outdoor Learning Dome (GOLD) where young people can learn a variety of information about nature – including animals, plants, water quality, geology, etc. 

The Emory & Henry GOLD Team received the Southeast Region Group Volunteer Award at a Virginia Association of Soil & Water Conservation Districts area meeting on March 19, 2019. While Sam Caudill remains a student at Emory & Henry, his brother and Walker Long have graduated and are now working full-time.
