Argentina - POLS 255 or SPAN 350 + ETLA 240: Language and Culture in the Southern Cone
Travel to Argentina with us this winter! Visit the land of tango, gauchos, passionate soccer fans, groundbreaking social movements, and world-renowned writers and artists. This South American country offers a rich cultural and political landscape to explore questions related to colonialism, independence, literature, political ideologies, arts, social justice, and democracy. And don’t forget, it is summer in Argentina in December!
This course is designed to familiarize you with the history, society, politics, and culture of Argentina. We will explore different cultural contexts in action through literature, film, and hands-on interaction with contemporary political issues.
