Christopher Hartless

Animal Lab Manager Psychology

Christopher Hartless received his Master’s degree in Experimental Psychology from Radford University. After working for a year with the addiction neuroscience department at IUPUI, he returned to Virginia, where he currently resides as an adjunct professor and rat lab manager for the Psychology Department at Emory and Henry College. Past research has focused on the effects of cannabinoids, morphine, nicotine, and alcohol in order to better understand how these chemicals affect our developmental processes and neurobehavioral profiles. While at Emory and Henry, he is promoting research inside and outside the classroom, utilizing both human and animal models. Current research and philosophical interests include understanding consciousness, social aspects of science, human flourishing, and happiness.
