DPT 732 Professional Issues II

Second in a series of three courses integrated throughout the curriculum to prepare students as ethical, moral, responsible and accountable physical therapists.  Topics in the series include psychosocial considerations in patient management, administration/management issues, such as documentation, and the teaching/learning process.  Students provided opportunities through service learning and other activities to engage with the professional community, with the college community and with the local, national and international communities.  Emphasis in this second course is on patient/client management models, use of the Guide to PT practice, documentation, psychosocial issues, cultural concerns and healthcare systems. 

Two semester hours.
