Ryan Bowyer

Associate Provost & Dean of Students Office of Student Life, Student Success & Inclusion

Ryan is a native of Riner, Virginia, and is a 2010 alumni of Emory & Henry College. While at Emory & Henry, Ryan majored in History and Middle Eastern/Islamic Studies. Ryan graduated Magna Cum Laude. In graduate school, Ryan’s internship at Radford University was in housing and residence life. 

Ryan has worked professionally in Housing and Residence Life, Greek Life, Student Activities, Student Media, and Conduct at Radford University, Methodist University, and Coastal Carolina University. 

At Emory & Henry, Ryan has direct oversight of student conduct and Greek Life. Further, he works incredibly closely with the Director of Housing and Residence Life, the Director of Student Activities, the Director of Outdoor Programs, the Director of Campus Recreation, and the C.A.R.E.S. Coordinator. Finally, Ryan is an integral member of the College’s Care Team, Behavioral Intervention Team, and Threat Assessment Team. 

Ryan is incredibly excited to return home to Emory & Henry and hopes to make a significant difference in the lives of students.
