Taylor Jefferson is entering his fifth year as Assistant Director of Athletics at Emory & Henry College.
In Jefferson’s first four years with the Wasps, he expanded the marketing reach of Emory & Henry Athletics, and through strategic promotional efforts, has helped increase attendance at many of the Wasps’ home contests. During the summer of 2017, Jefferson received a pair of awards from NACMA for excellence in print (Silver) and digital (Bronze) promotions.
Jefferson came to Emory & Henry in the fall of 2013 after spending two years at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tenn., where he served as the Graduate Assistant for Athletic Ticketing. He also had internships at ETSU where he worked closely with the Athletic Marketing and Fundraising offices.
During his time with the Bucs, Jefferson was the primary contact for group sales and assisted with ticketing and game operations for the Department’s 18 sports. He also helped increase student involvement through the BucWild club and aided the Buccaneer Athletic Scholarship Association in many fundraising efforts.
Prior to his time in Johnson City, Jefferson was an Office Assistant for Ticketing and Marketing at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania during the 2010-11 academic year. He spent the summer of 2010 as the Athletics Department Intern at Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina.
Jefferson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in sport management from Bowling Green State University in May of 2010. While at BGSU, he was the student manager for the men’s basketball team for his junior and senior years. Jefferson also has a Master of Arts degree in sport management, which he received in May 2013 from ETSU.
