JP Barfield
I serve as a professor in the Exercise Science program and direct the Pre-Health program at Emory & Henry. Our Exercise Science program offers a clinical track for students who want to pursue a professional allied health career (e.g., physical therapy) as well as a fitness/wellness track for students who want to pursue a career in health, wellness, or strength & conditioning. I believe in the career and service components of both these options and want to support students’ long-term goals relative to their chosen profession. I also coordinate the Pre-Health experience to ensure students pursuing healthcare professions are successful professional school applicants (e.g., medical school). Healthcare is a major driver in many aspects of our society and Emory & Henry is at the forefront of providing healthcare leaders.
