Liberty Sheppard

Liberty came to Emory & Henry because she wanted to know her professors and classmates on a personal level. She is a part of the Zeta Phi sorority, Blue Key Honor Society, and is also an Ampersand Ambassador. Liberty regularly participates in the intentional break programs and has been to Charleston, SC, Murphy, NC, Belmont, TX and Wytheville, VA. On these trips, she has worked with a variety of projects that have had positive impacts on these communities. Through her experiences, Liberty has learned that the work of community development is not always easy. She has learned the importance of practicing humility and of remaining open to learning and to forming new relationships. After college, Liberty has plans to pursue medical school. Until that time, she looks forward to continued participation in service projects and in the many ways she stays involved in the Emory & Henry community.
