Senior Advancement Officer
Allison Mays serves as Senior Advancement Officer for Major Gifts and Planned Giving, bringing more than twenty years of fundraising and planned giving experience to the role.
Emory & Henry is a family tradition for Allison – sixteen family members have attended Emory & Henry, dating back to her grandfather’s generation. Working at Emory & Henry is like coming home for Allison, and you may very well have a classmate who is her mom, dad, uncle, aunt, cousin or sibling!
Allison’s professional experience will serve her well in this position as it includes financial, investment and estate planning along with almost every aspect of fundraising. If you would like to remember Emory & Henry in your planned giving or make a major gift to the college, she will provide the guidance and advice needed to help meet your request.
Director of Government Relations
In her role as Director of Government Relations, Allison will manage Emory & Henry College’s strategy for strengthening relationships with elected officials and government agencies; enhance the College’s reputation among government officials and the public; inform elected officials about the benefits that the College brings to communities in the region; work with College leadership to identify priority legislative and government relations issues for the College; and communicates and advocates College priorities to local, regional, state, and federal elected officials and staff.
Allison is a recognized community leader at the local, state and national level, having served in the following capacities:

Emory & Henry College Alumni Association
Washington County Chamber of Commerce
Jessie Ball du Pont Fund Leadership Institute
