Why I chose Emory & Henry:
I chose Emory & Henry because of the welcoming faculty and staff. I am pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant and knowing that Emory & Henry has a School of Health Sciences in Marion was a big push on my decision. I also had the opportunity to continue my soccer career.
Activities I'm involved in:
My favorite place on campus:
y favorite place on campus seems to be the McGlothlin Street academic building. I spend the majority of my time in MS going to classes, attending study sessions, and staying past midnight completing assignments. There are so many great academic resources in MS.
A project that I'm excited to work on:
I am currently working on finishing my second semester of college. This isn’t technically a “project,” but it sure feels like it. I am taking a full load of 18 credits. I am in Chemistry 111, Biology 117, Psychology 102, and English 101 with two labs. So far I have maintained all A’s and two B’s so I am hoping to finish the semester with all A’s and B’s.
One thing I want to do while in college:
One thing I want to do while in college is study abroad. Luckily for me, Emory & Henry requires a study abroad trip. I am hoping to either go somewhere tropical or somewhere in Africa, it all depends on where I can do the research I am interested in.
How I want to change the world:
I want to change the world by being the best Healthcare professional possible. As a Physician Assistant, I will be interacting with many different people with a wide variety of illnesses. I not only want to be helpful in choosing the right path of medicine for the right patient but also being a trustworthy and compassionate healthcare professional.
Life after graduation:
After I graduate from undergrad with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, I plan on attending Emory & Henry’s School of Health Sciences in Marion. There, I will go through the Physician Assistant program and graduate in two years. From there, I hope to find a job locally and stay close to the Bristol area throughout my adulthood.
