The Engineering Science program at Emory & Henry College seeks to produce engineer scientists who will understand:
- the value of leading a productive life and becoming responsible citizens with a global perspective
- how to apply the knowledge and skills acquired through both liberal arts and engineering curricula to positively contribute to their profession and society
- the synergy between the physical and/or life sciences and engineering analysis and design, leading to the solution of problems often of an interdisciplinary nature
- the importance of lifelong learning by developing a career plan that would include activities such as graduate education, professional development, specialized training, etc.
The Engineering Science program will produce engineer scientists who will succeed in finding professional employment or enroll in graduate degree programs.
