Dennis Cobler
Dennis Cobler, EdD, LAT, ATC, CSCS currently serves as Associate Professor, Program Director for the Athletic Training Program and chair of the Department of Athletic Training at Emory & Henry College. He served the college as the Head Athletic Trainer from 1997-2004, when he then took over from then retiring Dr. Margaret Hutson who is credited for starting the Athletic Training program at Emory & Henry.
Dr. Cobler has formally served as the regional representative for the Virginia Athletic Trainers’ Association (VATA) and now is actively involved as a site visitor for the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). He currently resides in Meadowview, VA wife his wife Trudy (’96) and children, Bryce and Rily.

Teaching
Dr. Cobler has taught numerous courses during his tenure at E&H, but is currently teaching Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Testing and Prescription, and Lifetime Wellness.
