Kathy Wilkinson
Kathy’s passion for nursing from the time she was a teen as a candy-striper (anybody remember what that was?) in high school has opened many doors for her experience in the profession. She received her B.S. in 1980 and M.S. in Nursing in 1995 from Radford University. Her professional nursing career has included working at community hospitals, Duke University, free clinics, and RAM clinics close to her community. She has enjoyed teaching nursing on the Vocational level to LPNs, traditional BSN level, and now as adjunct in the RN-BSN program. She was formerly an Associate Professor of Nursing at Carson-Newman University and King University and joined Emory & Henry College as an Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Nursing in the Fall of 2019. Her teaching interests include a variety of classroom courses and clinical supervision in the Undergraduate level.
She currently resides with her husband in Abingdon, Va. In her free time, she volunteers at a local free clinic for low-income residents of Washington County, local RAM clinics, and enjoys ushering at the local Barter Theater. Her favorite pastime is being “Lolly” to her three grandchildren in Knoxville, TN and Lexington, KY.
