What I will do if I participate in this study?

Surveys:

You will be asked to complete 3 surveys: one now, one later during the pandemic, and one after stay at home orders have ended.  The surveys will be asking questions about what your life at home and your responsibilities at home are like during each time point to see if there are any changes. Because we will be tracking your responses over time, we will ask you to provide your email addresses.

If you find that you are unable to complete the survey at once, you may return to your survey any time in the next seven days to complete it.

Each survey will take about 30 minutes of your time. We will send two follow up surveys during the time of the COVID-19 quarantine.

Interviews:

You will be asked to complete three interviews: one now, one later during the pandemic, and one after stay at home orders have ended.  The interviews will be asking questions about what your life at home and your life in general since the stay at home orders have been in place for COVID-19. Because we will be tracking your responses over time, we will ask you to provide your email address and telephone number.

The Emory & Henry Sociology faculty will interview you either by phone or video chat depending on what works best for you.

The interview will be either audio or video recorded so that we can transcribe the interview afterwards. The interviews will only be available to the researchers.  After we transcribe and analyze the interviews we will destroy the recording.
