Xuan Wang-Wolf
Dr. Xuan Wang-Wolf joined Emory & Henry College as the Founding Director of Online Education in July 2020. With over a decade of professional experience in program management, online pedagogy, learning strategy, instructional design, educational technology, and intercultural communication, she strives for continuous improvement in research and evidence-based quality design, development, and delivery of programs. Believing that learning is a fundamental right, Dr. Wang-Wolf continues to work towards improving equitability, accessibility, and diversity in education by implementing exceptional learning experiences that enhance learner participation and offer global and lifelong learning opportunities.
Through her years of experience in course design and faculty training, Dr. Wang-Wolf has led design and professional development initiatives at institutions such as Arizona State University and the University of Northern Iowa. During that time, she has given over a dozen presentations on topics ranging from computer-assisted learning to intercultural communicative competence at national and international conferences. In addition, she was an A.W. Mellon Fellow in Technology-Enhanced Learning at Carnegie Mellon University and recipient of a Digital Humanities Fellowship from McMaster University.
Recognizing the critical role that learning plays in empowering individuals and communities, Dr. Wang-Wolf aims to honor the voices of learners by creating inclusive, goal-oriented, standards-driven, and learner-centered experiences that promote public engagement and accelerate knowledge construction and sharing.
She enjoys traveling with her family and their two rescue pups, as well as exploring nature. She also dabbles in photography and is particularly interested in the visual arts.
