Her primary teaching responsibilities at E&H College are in professional issues course series and therapeutic exercise components of the program related to aquatics and women’s health.
She has co-authored a women’s health textbook for physical therapists with her husband, and colleague, Dr. Glenn Irion. She has also authored several scholarly papers and textbook chapters in addition to presenting several peer reviewed platform and poster presentations at national meetings. Dr. Irion has also been an invited speaker numerous times on a local, state, regional and national level in her areas of clinical practice, particularly on women’s health, aquatic PT, occupational health and sports PT.
Her previous experience includes serving her previous institution as the Assistant Department Chair and also as an Academic Coordinator for Clinical Education (ACCE) or the Asst. ACCE for over 20 of her 25 years in PT education. Professor Irion is also a certified athletic training and has been a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy since 1992, credentialed by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). For over 32 years, Dr. Irion’s clinical practice has focused primarily in the areas of women’s health, aquatic therapy, sports PT, and occupational health.
