Jacob Sturgill

I am Jake Sturgill, and I will be graduating from Emory & Henry in May of 2021 with a BS in biology and a minor in chemistry. During my time at Emory, I was involved with the Beta Beta Beta Honor Society, student American Chemical Society, Blue Key Honor Society, STEM Cohort, Pre-Health Club, and also performed a research project titled “Mosquito and La Crosse Virus Surveillance at the Bartlett-Crowe Field Station” with Dr. Jacob Bova.

Emory & Henry has provided me with a well-rounded undergraduate experience. The availability and openness of the professors and small class sizes have been my favorite aspects of Emory & Henry, because it allows for the development of strong relationships which have proven to be tremendously beneficial. Both the chemistry and biology departments here at Emory & Henry have given priceless advice and guidance in my pursuit of achieving my career goals. I am grateful for the extensive education that Emory has provided me with.
