Shannon C. Earle

Associate Vice President for Advancement

Shannon C. Earle joined Emory & Henry in July 2021, having previously served as Chief of Staff to the Chancellor and Provost at the University North Carolina Asheville from 2016-2021 & the Assistant Provost of Admission and Financial Aid at the University of North Carolina Asheville from 2011-2016.

Earle came to UNC Asheville from Tennessee Wesleyan University in Athens, Tennessee where she served as Director of Development and Alumni Relations, and as Dean of Students and Director of Residence Life at Young Harris College in Young Harris, Georgia, both United Methodist related institutions. Although her positions have been varied, her goal has been singular: helping first generation students and their families navigate the path to higher education, specifically a liberal arts education.

A native of Clinton, TN, Earle received her B.A. from Tennessee Wesleyan University, her MLAS degree from UNC Asheville and currently pursuing an Ed.D in Organizational Theory & Leadership from Baylor University. Shannon is married to John W. Wells and they have two adult children, Garland and Molly.
