March 1, 2022-COVID-19 Return to Campus Update - Testing this Friday, Test Requirement Returning from Spring Break, and Masking Updates

Good morning,

We hope that each of you are excited about spring break. We appreciate the diligence our campus community has had this semester in response to the Omicron variant.

This email contains a number of important updates. Please read it in its entirety.

Testing Before Spring Break

If you wish to test before you leave for spring break, we will offer extended testing this Friday, March 4th, 2022. We will be testing from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the Chapel.

Test Requirement Returning from Spring Break

All students will need to submit a negative test prior to returning from spring break. As we know students will generally be traveling for spring break, we want to ensure that we return to campus as safely as possible. Please submit your tests here.

An at-home test will meet this requirement.

If you are unable to source a test where you will be over spring break, you may register with Walgreens or CVS. Please consider making these appointments prior to leaving for spring break.

Masking Update

The Covid-19 Task Force continues to watch case numbers in our area. Recently, the CDC has relaxed mandates for communities of lower spread. According to the CDC, Washington County is still an area of high spread. We will continue to monitor case numbers in our county and region as we look to hopefully reevaluate our mask mandate in the coming weeks.
