Dr. Adam Wells is an Assistant Professor of Religion and Director of Foundations I at Emory & Henry College. He received his Ph.D. in Comparative Scripture, Interpretation and Practice from the University of Virginia (2012), his M.A.R. in Biblical Studies from Yale Divinity School (2007), and his B.A. in Philosophy (with honors) from Wake Forest University (2001). Dr. Wells specializes in New Testament, comparative theology, and philosophical approaches to religion. He is particularly interested in philosophical issues surrounding inter-religious dialog and scriptural interpretation in the Abrahamic traditions. His recent work focuses on biblical interpretation and the “theological turn” in phenomenology.
