Stephanie Williams
Dr. Williams has been an Occupational Therapist for the past twenty five years. She began practice in a rural hospital in Southwest VA with a focus on acute and outpatient care. Initially working as a staff therapist she treated individuals of all ages in a number of settings including outpatient, acute care, school system and skilled nursing facilities. Later as Director of Occupational and Speech therapy and then Director of Rehab Services for a local hospital she continued to enjoy active practice primarily in outpatient and acute care working with people from Southwest VA and NC.
Her passion for treating patients’ that have experienced complicated upper extremity injuries inspired her to become a Certified Hand Therapist in 2004. Staying active clinically is important to her so she continues to treat patients in outpatient and inpatient settings. She enjoys the rich stories her patients have shared during therapy sessions and working with other professionals to provide high quality care.
She is excited to be back in Virginia and a part of the E & H faculty. She looks forward to working with students as they take their journey to become dedicated, competent, occupation focused, evidence-based Occupational Therapists of the future.
