Neil Mateo Fredericksen

Neil Mateo Fredericksen is a Double Major in Environmental Science (B.S.) and Biology (B.A.). He is from Ferrum, VA and is a current Virginia Master Naturalist. He hopes to become a Wildlife Conservation Biologist focusing on Herpetofauna. Currently, he is doing research on shade tolerance in different phenotypic ratios of hybridized American Chestnut Trees. He plans to intern with the Herpetofauna Research Team of the Fauna Forever program doing reptile and amphibian studies in the Peruvian Amazon in 2023. Neil is a member of the Emory and Henry Climate Collaborative.
