Ronan D. King, a native Bristolian with 25 years of fundraising and development experience to her credit, serves Emory & Henry College as its Director of Annual Giving.
The Director of Annual Giving administers and coordinates the College’s ongoing philanthropic efforts to secure annual financial support from alumni, faculty, staff, parents, students, businesses, and friends to help sustain the overall operations of the institution.
The Director oversees the Emory & Henry Fund, the I-HEY athletic giving program, the Patrick Henry Society and numerous other outreach programs such as phonathons, class agents, the Student Advancement Council and the Young Alumni Council.
The Director of Annual Giving reports to the College’s Vice President for Institutional Advancement and is housed in the J. Stuart French House.
Ronan is an active community leader and volunteer with affiliations such as the Junior League of Bristol and CASA For Kids. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Massengill-DeFriece Foundation, the Bristol Tennessee City School Foundation, United Way of Bristol and the Bristol YMCA. Ronan is a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Bristol, Virginia.
