Hello! My name is Maggie Obermann, and I’m the Civic Engagement Coordinator with the Appalachian Center for Civic Life. I’m a Colorado native with over 15 years of service both in the U.S. and internationally (Guatemala, Honduras, Ethiopia) as well as experience in non-profit capacity-building, volunteer coordination, elderly and youth program development, and experiential learning. My greatest passion is learning about and from diverse individuals in order to assist them and help them assist others in living flourishing lives and in building a more just world. I’m a big believer that much of this work and learning takes place in community together, and I enjoy connecting people to share passions, ideas, assets, and resources.
I look forward to community building, to meaningful learning, and to collaborating with you to do the work that we can only do together. Please stop by my open-door office in the Appalachian Center any time as I’m always happy to talk, listen, brainstorm, and build!
