Todd Hill, J.D.
Todd Hill is a 2019 graduate of Emory & Henry College. He comes to us from Southwest Virginia Legal Aid Society where he had been assisting with civil litigation surrounding substance use disorders. Hill has been working alongside the treatment courts in the Southwest Virginia coal fields region.
Todd earned his Juris Doctor degree from Elon University School of Law. While in law school, he assisted with non-profit compliance and organizational structure at Kopper Top Life Learning Center. Hill was also a resident intern with the City Attorney’s Office of Greensboro. While at the City Attorney’s Office, he overseen music licensing compliance for all city events and departments.
Todd is also a graduate of Southwest Virginia Community College. While attending Southwest, he was recognized for his hard work and dedication to the Southwest Virginia region through Coffee Cares. This was a literacy program Hill created alongside the Student United Way of Southwest Virginia. Through this program, Todd was able to give away nearly 10,000 books to children in low income families. Hill was 1 of 10 selected as a prestigious Valley Proteins Fellow from nearly 400,000 students across the Commonwealth of Virginia. Todd was also recognized as a Coca-Cola Gold Scholar and All-American Academic Team Scholar, which is awarded to the top community college students in the nation.
Prior to obtaining his undergrad, Todd worked as a youth pastor in California and as an Emergency Medical Technician in North Carolina.
Todd is a proud member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society, Appalachian Substance Abuse Coalition (ASAC), Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA), and Scholarship Review Committee for the Virginia Community College System (VCCS). He lives in Lebanon, VA with his wife and two children.
