Richard Graves is from Atlanta, GA and moved to SWVA to attend E&H from which he graduated in 08. Richard loves WEHC because it gives him a chance to work with all different programming, from a variety of music to local talk and journalism. In addition to managing the station he currently hosts two programs, a music variety show with interviews called “Dead Air” and a series examining addiction issues in our community call “Addiction and Recovery”. Richard also works with the Virginia Association of Broadcasters where he was in the inaugural class of their “Best of the Best” program that brings together broadcasters from across the state to work on lobbying, education, coordinated marketing campaigns, and ways to work together across Virginia to find better ways for TV and radio to serve the communities they are in.
Richard also enjoys traveling, making art, yoga, reading, film, and seeing live music. His favorite band is the Hold Steady, which he finds time to slip into his shows from time to time.
