John Holloway

Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion & Belonging

John Holloway came to Emory & Henry in January of 2017 after having served as dean of student affairs at Lehman College at the City University of New York since 2011. While at CUNY-Lehman, he led efforts dealing with Title IX education, orientation and transition programs, peer-education employment opportunities, and on-going support for LGBTQ community members. He also founded and launched the Urban Male Leadership Program, which focused on providing support for Black and Latino male students. Holloway previously held student life and housing positions at the University of California at Santa Cruz, the University of South Florida, and at Montclair State University. A native of New York City, Holloway was a first-generation college student who earned his B.A. with a major in politics, economics, and society at SUNY College at Old Westbury, an M.A. in Counseling at Montclair State University, and is expected to complete a Ph.D. in Education from the University of California, Santa Barbara soon. In addition, he holds a certificate from the University of California Management Institute.
