Hello! I’m Alana Simmons and I have the pleasure of serving as Project Coordinator for the E&H CARES (Campus Advocacy, Resources, and Education for Safety) program. This project is supported by Grant No. 2016-WA-AX-0016 awarded by the Office on Violence Against Women, U.S. Department of Justice.
E&H CARES strives to strengthen services for survivors of stalking, dating/domestic violence, and sexual assault; improve offender accountability; and promote comprehensive prevention strategies within the campus community. Through our Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT), my role is to ensure that we incorporate our internal and external partners in this movement to end gender-based violence on our campus. Specifically, I am interested in amplifying student voices in this work.
When you get a moment, stop by the Inclusion & Dialogue Center and let’s visit! I’d love to learn more about how E&H CARES can be of service to your class and/or department.
