Fantasia: Symphony of the Mountains

Kennedy~Reedy Theatre, McGlothlin Center for the Arts (MCA) — 30481 Garnand Dr.

Many adults remember the sense of wonder when they first experienced “Fantasia” as children. The Symphony of the Mountains will re-create that magical feeling for a new generation of children as they bring a live symphony together with movie clips from the Disney classic films “Fantasia” and “Fantasia 2000.” As part of the NEA’s “The Big Read” project, the Symphony will partner with Emory & Henry College faculty and students, Washington County Public Library, and children from local public school music programs to present this concert at the McGlothlin Center.  This concert is part of a residency which also includes free concerts for local elementary students the following day.

Tickets available on the Symphony of the Mountain website.

FREE to E&H students, faculty, and staff (one ticket per student, two tickets per faculty/staff member, must claim in person at the Box Office with E&H ID).
