The basecamp of adventure.
The Emory & Henry Outdoor Center is more than a storage and trip-staging facility — it’s a second home to our Outdoor Program students, a place for the outdoor culture to grow.
During the construction of the facility, students, faculty and staff regularly participated — hammering, drilling, painting and shaping a vital part of Emory & Henry. Ongoing projects (such as our new indoor climbing crag) and maintenance are completed in the same familial way.
As you visit the Outdoor Program Building, you may be asked to join in a hack circle or even a fun experiment with the slack line. Fun is encouraged — it’s a staple in the E&H outdoor adventure community.
Stop by for a visit and see the mural, climb on the indoor bouldering crag, inspect the Program’s fleet of kayaks, or just relax in a hammock and enjoy some outdoor or environmental literature.
