The Paul Adrian Powell, III Resource Center (PRC)

PRC open sign

The staff at the PRC are here to assist all Emory & Henry students in achieving their goals–personal, academic and professional.

Virtual PRC

The PRC is responding to the distance learning approach Emory & Henry has implemented. While our physical office in Wiley Hall is currently closed, the PRC is open virtually and ready to serve you.

Email is the most efficient method of communication during this period of virtual operations, but please remember email is not a confidential method of communication.

You can also reach the PRC by phone at 276-944-6144. The line will not be answered, however, please leave a voicemail and we will be checking messages and calling students back as quickly as possible during business hours Monday-Friday.

Academic Support

Students can schedule virtual meetings or a phone call to receive academic support and coaching by emailing Emily Myers at emyers@ehc.edu. Students can discuss any academic struggles they are experiencing and learn strategies for studying, test-taking, note-taking, and time management. Peer tutoring support is also still available in a limited number of departments and courses; please email for further information.

Counseling Services

Access to individual counseling for students remains available. Services may be provided over the phone or through secure video conferencing.

To request an appointment, please contact Todd Stanley at toddstanley@ehc.edu, leave a message on the PRC voicemail at 276-944-6144, or utilize our online referral form.

The PRC provides a comprehensive support system, based on students’ individual needs, to help them through their college experience and beyond.

The Powell Resource Center was established to provide a comprehensive support network dedicated to the growth and development of every student. A variety of services including academic success, counseling services, disability support and the Quantitative Literacy Center, are provided for students as they go through their college experience.

All services are free to Emory & Henry undergraduate and graduate students.
